PREMISES AND OCCUPATIONS CONTROLLED BY BYE-LAWS
OR REGULATIONS.
There are 517 known places in this district which call for periodical inspection as follows:—
Houses let in Lodgings, Common Lodging Houses, Bakehouses, Slaughterhouses,
Cowsheds, Piggeries, Stables, Dairies and Milkshops, Offensive Trades, Laundries (non-
factory), Workshops, Workplaces, Outworkers' Premises and Ice Cream Vendors' Premises.
SCHOOLS.
There are now twenty-one schools with thirty-four departments in the Borough, including
one Central School The influx of population continues to put a severe strain on the accommodation
provided for in our schools and in eight departments the accommodation has to be
supplemented by the use of huts.
During the year one new school, the Wellington Junior and Infants' was opened. This
School serves the Council Housing Estate at Sutton Lane and draws nearly all its 400 scholars
from the Estate.
SWIMMING BATHS AND POOLS.
The principal Municipal Bath is provided with an up-to-date filtration and chlorination
plant and is in every way satisfactory.
The older Bath at lsleworth is being replaced by an up-to-date one, similar to that at
Hounslow.
The one Swimming Pool in the district is provided with an up-to-date cleansing and aeration
plant, which is entirely satisfactory.

Canal Boats Acts, 1877 to 1884.
In accordance with Section 3 of the Canal Boats Act, 1884, I beg to present herewith the
Annual Report for the year ended 31jf December, 1935, as to the execution of the Canal Boats
Acts, 1877, and 1884, and of the Regulations made thereunder, within the Borough of Heston and
lsleworth, Middlesex.
