SECTION D.— HOUSING.
Housing Act, 1936—Section 12.
During the year 1948, one underground room was inspected and
found not to comply in all respects with the Council's Regulations as
to Underground Rooms. An undertaking was given by the owner
that the room would not be used for human habitation.

Housing Act, 1936, (Part IV) — Overcrowding.

The following table shows the position in Wimbledon at the end of 1948, with regard to overcrowding.
