During the year, 3 cases of puerperal fever were notified.
Two of these cases died, one being a true case of Puerperal
Septicæmia. The second death is classified in Table II. under
the heading "other accidents and diseases of pregnancy,"
being more correctly attributable to exhaustion following prolonged labour.

The following table shows the number of cases of Ophthalmia Neonatorum, and the result of the early treatment.

There were no deaths from measles, or whooping cough,
and no cases of epidemic diarrhoea notified.
