Infantile Mortality:—There were 27 infant deaths during
the year (including transferable deaths), giving a rate of 33
per thousand registered births, a decrease of 19 per thousand
on last year's figures, when there were 46 deaths and a rate
of 60. The infantile death-rate calculated on the RegistrarGeneral's
figures, is 33 per thousand births. The infant death
rate for illegitimate children was 26 per thousand illegitimate
births.
