age, five to fifteen years, and of these, 41 attended the following

Diphtheria.—The total number of cases notified during
the year was 88 from 70 houses. The attack-rate was 1.5 per
thousand of the population.
There were 5 deaths, corresponding to a death-rate of .08
per thousand of the population.
In 1 house there were 5 cases, in one house 4 cases, in 1
house 3 cases, in 9 houses 2 cases, and in the remaining 5 houses
1 each.
56 or 64 per cent. of the patients were treated in the Isolation
Hospital.
