The Milk and Dairies Order, 1926.
Much attention was again directed to this Order during the year
with a view to minimising the risk of contamination, infection and
alteration of the milk supply to the Town and as a result three
summonses under Section 31 (2) of this Order were issued against
offenders.
In one case a fine of 40s. was imposed; in another a fine of 10s.
was obtained. The third case was heard in January, 1931, and will
be accounted for in the 1931 report.
In addition the Council issued a warning to a dairyman and his
employee for a similar breach of the Order.
The Milk and Dairies (Amendment) Act, 1922, (Section 2).
The Council refused to register a retail purveyor of milk who
sought to be registered in respect of certain premises. No appeal
was made against the refusal.
