The Zymotic Disease Death-rate is the rate per 1,000 population;
of deaths from the following diseases:-Enteric Fever, Smallpox,
Measles, Scarlet Fever, Whooping Cough, Diphtheria and Diarrhoea,,
etc., under two years. The 1930 rate is high because of the increased
number of deaths from Measles and Diphtheria.
The Pulmonary Tuberculosis Death-rate was 0.64 per 1,000
population, and the Non-Pulmonary Tuberculosis Death-rate was
0.07 per 1,000 population.
