Publicity and Propaganda, Etc.
Public lectures to Voluntary Guilds and Institutes and Church organisations,
etc., on health topics were given during the year. The Chairman of
the Public Health Committee also made reference at a number of Council
meetings to health subjects. Poster displays regarding Diphtheria immunisation,
Poliomyelitis vaccination and health topics were also given prominence.
Visits were paid by children from a secondary school to a local farm,
milk bottling depot and slum clearance area, under the direction of a Public
Health Inspector.

In addition enquiries were made of General Practitioners and Hospitals
in respect of numerous cases, referred under Sickness Regulations, which
were not subsequently medically examined at the Public Health Offices.
