Scarlet Fever.—The diagnosis of scarlet fever could not be confirmed
in 14 patients admitted. No deaths occurred from this disease.

Tuberculosis.—72 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis were admitted, as
compared with 100 in 1947.
Fifty-two beds were allocated for the reception of cases of Pulmonary
Tuberculosis throughout the year.
