1. Staff.— Dr. D. Regan, Assistant Medical Officer of Health,
commenced his duties on the 1st September, 1931, vice Dr. A. T.
Worthington, who terminated his duties on 15th July, 1931.
Dr. K. Edgecombe, Assistant Medical Officer of Health, terminated
her duties on the 7th November, 1931, and has been
succeeded by Dr. E. S. Stephen, who commenced duty in the
New Year.
Mr. R. A. Tran, Assistant School Dentist, commenced his
duties on 2Gth May, vice Dr. A. F. Crow, who terminated her duties
on the 16th May.
2. Co-ordination.— Vide Annual Report, 1920.
THE SCHOOL MEDICAL SERVICE IN RELATION TO
PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.
3. School Premises.— There are 25 schools, with 48 departments.
The schools have accommodation for approximately 17,775
scholars, and 17,57G were actually on the rolls on December 31st,
1931.

The reorganisation of the Cleveland, Loxford and Uphall Schools under the Hadow Scheme; the completion of the building of Beal Modern School; and the provision of a rest shed at Benton School have resulted in the following alterations in the elementary schools.
