GENERAL SURVEY OF THE SCHOOL MEDICAL SERVICE.
The report shows that there are approximately 16,303 children
on the school rolls, compared with 15,562 in 1929.
The number of children in average attendance at school
for the period April 1st, 1929, to March 31st, 1930, was 13,172.
6,521 children were medically inspected, compared with 6,254
in 1929.

The following table compares the incidence-rate of physically and mentally defective children in Ilford with that of the previous year, and with the Board of Education average for the country as arrived at in 1929 :-
