The following table shows the result of the analyses of the samples of "Grade A (Tuberculin Tested)" and "Grade A" milk:—

The standard for "Grade A Milk Pasteurised" is that a sample
shall be found to contain (a) not more than 30,000 bacteria per
cubic centimetre; and (b) no coliform bacillus in one-tenth of a
cubic centimetre.
One sample of this grade of milk (No. 229) was taken, the
number of bacteria being 295.
The standard for “Pasteurised” milk is that a sample shall be
found to contain not more than 100,000 bacteria per cubic centimetre.
