Direct Smears from swabs were examined in 16 cases.
There were also 17 swabs from Scarlet Fever cases examined
for experimental purposes.
22 diphtheritic specimens were sent to a laboratory in London
for a test for virulence. 14 were avirulent, 8 virulent.
