PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS.
27 cases were admitted during the year. By arrangement
with the Essex County Council, six beds are allotted to
cases of Tuberculosis whenever the pressure of other infectious

this a payment of 30s. per week per bed is made. The average
stay of the patients in the hospital was about two months,
the usual period of treatment being either six weeks or twelve
weeks. The block set apart for Tuberculosis was occupied
altogether for ten months and five days.
