Of the 92 deaths, 55 occurred from disease or natural
causes, 29 resulted from various kinds of accidents, 7 committed
suicide, and 1 infant was wilfully neglected at birth,
18 were parishioners belonging to St. George, Bloomsbury,
and 74 to St. Giles-in-the-Fields.
60 of the inquests (including 3 on bodies of non-parishioners)
were held at the Coroner's Court, Goldsmith Street,
12 at other places, as ordered by the Coroner, and 15 at
public hospitals situated outside the district where the
deceased had died at or after removal from their homes for
treatment.
