time it is difficult to procure this information, as an interval
of nearly ten years has elapsed since the taking of the last
Census, during which time many changes have taken place
amongst the population, through the carrying out of
numerous local improvements.
I have, therefore, again made my calculations upon the
corrected returns of the Census, 1881.
Marriages and Marriage-rate,
347 marriages took place during the year at the parish churches and other buildings in the district licensed for the purpose.
