APPLICATIONS FOR INOCULATION AGAINST TYPHOID
FEVER.
One application made in 1944, compared with none in 1942 and
1943, and 6 in 1941.
MIDWIVES ACTS, 1902-1936.
The number of midwives who notified their intention to practise
in the area during 1944 was 28. Of this number 14 worked in connection
with the Maternity Hospital and District Nurses Home,
Plaistow, and its Branches, 1 from Tate's Nurses' Home, Silvertown,
7 from East Ham Memorial Hospital, and 6 practised independently,
including three Municipal Midwives.
