Puerperal Fever and Puerperal Pyrexia.
Five cases of Puerperal Fever and seven cases of Puerperal
Pyrexia were notified during the year under the Regulations of
1926 and 1928.
Maternal Mortality
There was one death associated directly with pregnancy. The
Maternal mortality rate was, therefore, 0.49 per 1,000 live and
still births compared with 2.00 in ,1936.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum
During 1937, seven cases of Ophthalmia Neonatorum were
notified.
