On 81 occasions it has been necessary to have recourse to
legal proceedings, viz.:—
Under Public Health Acts for non-compliance
with Sanitary Notice 32
Contravention of Meat Regulations 4
Under Shops (Early Closing) Act and
Closing Orders for contraventions 32
Under Gipsy Bye-Laws for failing to provide
sufficient water supply 8
Under Sale of Food and Drugs Act for
adulterations 4
Under Milk and Dairies (Consolidation)
Act for name not being on vehicle 1
Fines and costs have been imposed amounting in all to
£120 8s. 6d. See Tables pp. 132—135.
