Deaths from Cancer.
Of the total number of deaths, 293 were from Cancer (including five from
Sarcoma), being a similar number to the previous year. Of these, 145 occurred in
men and 148 in women. More than half the Cancer deaths (193) took place in
hospitals.
The following tables give details of the number of Woolwich deaths from
cancer of the lung and bronchus during 1954.
