Violence and Suicide. 61 deaths (39 males and 22 females)
occurred from violence, apart from suicide, a number somewhat
in excess of previous years. 18 deaths were due to
suicidal causes (15 males and 3 females).
Cancer. The total deaths from cancer was 213, of which
93 occurred in males and 120 in females. Deaths certified
as due to cancer or malignant disease each year since 1925
are shewn in the following Table, No. 14.
