Provision of Nursing Assistance for Certain Infectious
Diseases. The general scheme of nursing assistance is
described in full in Section III. of the report. The extent
to which these services have been made use of in respect to
specific diseases is dealt with under these diseases, q.v.
Home Helps. During the year the Council approved a
scheme for the provision of home helps in maternity cases.
Before the scheme was formulated information was obtained
from all the Metropolitan Borough Councils as to the extent
