In 1929, the Council, with the approval of the Minister
of Health, paid the class fees of two Health Visitors at a
refresher course for Health Visitors.
The Work of the Welfare Centres. The Council rent or
own six welfare centres and one artificial sunlight clinic.
Ante-natal clinics are held at three of the centres.
At the end of the year four ante-natal and seventeen
infant consultations and weighing sessions were being held
each week.
At each of the Centres a panel of voluntary workers
render valuable assistance. They undertake such tasks as
