Sewers - "Maintenance Treatments."
I am informed by the Borough Engineer and Surveyor that
two treatments for the destruction of rats:in sewers were
carried out during.the year, viz., from 5th June to 18th July
and 4th December 1,950 to 18th January 1951.
1,470 manholes were treated during the first period and
1,436 during the second, the estimated number of rats
destroyed being.11,735 and 11,300, respectively.
