On 9th November, Isaac Letchman, occupier of first floor front room at
19, Stepney Green, was summoned for failing to strip, stop and cleanse the
walls and ceiling, and to cleanse the bed, bedding and bedstead, and free
them from vermin.
He was fined £1, with £2 4s. costs.
IV. UNDER THE LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL BYE-LAWS.
On 20th November, Wickens, Pease & Co., Ltd., were summoned for
causing offensive matter to be conveyed through the Borough in improper
receptacles on September 8th.
They were fined £5, with £2 2s. costs.
On 20th November, David Brooker was summoned for conveying offensive
matter through the Borough during prohibited hours.
He was fined £2.
V. UNDER THE DAIRIES, COWSHEDS AND MILKSHOPS
ORDER, 1885.
On 20th April, Fanny Lazarus, of 5, Coborn Road, was summoned for
failing to keep her milk utensils in a cleanly state.
She was fined 10s., with 10s. 6d. costs.
VI. UNDER HOUSING OF THE WORKING CLASSES ACT, 1903.
On 16th November, Robert Nelson, of 81, Thomas Street, was summoned
for failing to quit the premises after a closing order had been made.
The Magistrate made an order for possession in 28 days.
