There were 13,197 children on the books at the middle of the year,
besides 296 children attending Enfield schools; so that there is in Edmonton
one child in the public elementary schools for 4.8 inhabitants (reckoned
on the nett population), as compared with one child for 4.9 inhabitants
last year. The accommodation at present is 14,325 places.
The number of children on the books of the elementary
schools of the district on 28th June, 1912 was 13,197, and the
accommodation was 14,325. The accommodation and number of children
attending each school are given below:—
