Twenty-five samples were submitted for Chemical examination,
the lowest fat content being 4.15% (Ice Lolly containing Ice
Cream), and the highest 18.9%.
The following tabulation shows the results obtained in respect
of the 997 samples examined from 1st May. 1947. to 31st December.
1955.
The standard of ice cream remains at a high level, and in no
instance have pathogenic organisms been cultivated in any sample
examined since the inception of the tests in 1947.
