During the year 118 visits of inspection were made by Mr.
G. R. Woods the Animals Acts Inspector. 49 Statutory Orders
were received during 1954, and 11 licences issued.
A suspected case of swine fever on a farm in the area was
confirmed. The source of infection was traced by the Ministry to
