Drainage and Sewerage.
There have been no works of major importance carried out
during the year.
Cesspools.
No new premises have been erected with cesspool drainage
and no alterations to the drainage system of any other properties
on cesspool drainage have been carried out.
Cesspool emptying is undertaken by the Borough Engineer's
Department upon the request of the householders, a charge being
made of 17s. 6d. for the removal of the first 500 gallons and
12s. 6d. for subsequent or part loads.
Rivers, Streams and Lakes.
No further works of culverting rivers or streams within the
area have been undertaken during the year.
25 inspections and re-inspections were made by Sanitary
Inspectors during the year.
