In presenting this Report for 1933 the Committee think
it well to say that they have this year incorporated into
their servce the Rest Room Clothing Depot for
unemployed, and that therefore they have been able to
supply to school children repaired boots instead of buying
new ones. This year they have had to supply only 45 new
pairs instead of 119 as last year. Through this Depot
they have also been able to help 143 women and 278
children with clothes.
The Committee has again been fortunate in placing
four children in the National Children's Home, when
their own homes were broken up. They also succeeded
in getting a child into Earlswood Mental Home, and with
the help of many kind friends collected 520 votes in three
months, so that the child was accepted at her first
application.
Convalescent cases have been heavy, and this year
we have sent 63 children away. This is an increase of
23 on last year's figure.

The following cases have been investigated and helped financially:—

Tonsils and Adenoid cases1
Vision cases13
Fare to hospitals10
Convalescent homes63
Permanent homes4
Milk and extra nourishment170
Boots45
Total306

It will be seen that 306 cases have been helped at
the cost of £142 1s. 5d.
In November the Honorary Secretary bad to give up
the work for a time and Miss Isard kindly took on the
work most successfully and efficiently. The Committee
owe Miss Isard grateful thanks for thus stepping into the
breach.
