Clinics and Treatment Centres.-—There are four Maternity
and Child Welfare Centres in the district, three of
which are general maternity and child welfare centres, and
one specially conducted for expectant mothers. The former
meet weekly and the latter meets monthly. They are all
conducted under the auspices of the Borough Council, and
have associated with them a number of voluntary workers.
This voluntary effort is largely responsible for the success
of these centres.
The number of children on the registers of the General
Centres is set out in the following statement:—
