pared with 15 deaths and a rate of 23, 62 in the preceding year,
Among the 14 infants who died in Wood Green during 1959 before
they had reached the age of twelve months, 12 were under the age
of one month. Of these 9 failed to survive one week. Although
these figures are satisfactory, at least when one considers the
comparable position not so many years ago, we must still strive,
are indeed striving to discover the precise factors which produce
these infant deaths. To this end. every infant death is accordingly
scrutinised and examined in all its aspects.
still-births
