INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
(a) Milk Supply
The following licences for the sale of milk under special
designations have been granted.
Tuberculin Tested Accedited Pasteurised Sterilised

Supplementary licences to sell milk from premises which are
outside the area of the Licensing Authority.

Seventeen samples of milk were submitted for examination
during the year and all of these conformed to the standards under
the Milk (Special Designations) Regulations, 1949.
(b) Ice Cream
There are 11 premises registered for the manufacture of Ice
Cream in the district and 105 premises registered for retailing Ice
Cream. During the year, 179 visits were paid to these premises, and
37 samples were submitted for bacteriological examination. Of
these samples :
28 were Grade I 4 were Grade II
Nil were Grade III 5 were Grade IV
