23 samples of milk were submitted for examination during the
year and all of these conformed to the standards under the Milk
(Special Designations) Regulations. 1949.
(b) Ice Cream
There are 11 premises registered for the manufacture of ice
cream in the district, and 93 premises registered for retailing ice
cream. During the year 211 visits were paid to these premises,
and 59 samples were submitted for bacteriological examination.
Of these samples:
51 were Grade 1. 2 were Grade 11.
6 were Grade 111. None were Grade IV.
