War-time Day Nursery.
The St. Michael's War-time Nursery in Bounds Green Road
which was opened in June, 1942, with accommodation for 40 children
was open throughout the year with an average daily attendance of
31. In November the new Nursery in White Hart Lane was opened
with accommodation for 50 children. The average attendance
during November and December was 24. The low attendances in
this case were largely due to the prevalence of whooping cough in
the district during the late months of the year.
