Cows' Milk £440 0 0
Making a total of £770 in round figures.
There was a considerable reduction in the expenditure during
the last three quarters of the year; due in a great measure to the
more minute enquiries into the applications for free milk, made by the
Ladies' Committee (to whom my thanks are due), and to the fact that
all applications had to be made on a special form giving particulars as
to the source of income of the families concerned, thus in a great
measure anticipating the Order of the Ministry of Health dated the
31st March, 1921.
Home Help.
In connection with the circular issued by the Ministry of Health,
the Committee appointed a Home Help.
We were rather led to expect that sufficient work would be found
for two Home Helps, but on my recommendation the Committee
appointed one as an experiment, and very careful selection was made
of the person appointed.
