WORKSHOPS, WORK-PLACES, AND HOMES OF
OUT-WORKERS.
The workshops, work-places and outworkers' homes are kept
under constant supervision, and precautions are taken to ensure
that the work done in these plaoes is carried out under the beet
possible conditions.
There are four workshops in the district, employing about 40
females in blouse-making for firms in London.
Beyond this the workshops are small, employing from 2 to 6
hands, as occasion may require.
On the whole they have been kept in a satisfactory condition.
ISOLATION HOSPITAL.
Infectious cases still continue to be removed to the Hornsey
Isolation Hospital, although the agreement made between the
Hornsey Corporation and this Council expired on the 6th June,
1920.
Since the agreement expired the cost of patients has been
calculated on the actual cost, plus certain expenses for establishment
charges.
