(8) Staff Engaged in Housing Work with, Briefly, Duties of Each Officer—
Staff—The Staff of the Health Department engaged in work in connection with housing
are : 1 Chief Sanitary Inspector ; 6 District Sanitary Inspectors ; 1 Clerk (part
time).
Each Sanitary Officer carries out in his own district all of the duties prescribed under
the Housing (Inspection of District) Regulations, 1910.
Administration of Factory and Workshop Act, 1901.
The following tables shew the number of premises visited in pursuance of the provisions of the
Eactory and Workshop Act and the Action taken in connection therewith.
In one instance legal proceedings were taken to enforce compliance in respect of cleanliness at
a laundry.
