6. SANITARY ADMINISTRATION.
1. Sta:-Work of Sanitary Inspectors, Inspectors of Nuisances and other Officers engaged in
Sanitary Work.
The work or duties discharged by the Sanitarv Inspector in Willesden are those outlined in
the Sanitary Officers (outside London) Order 1910, and include
(1) The investigation of complaints and specifying the remedial measures to be undertaken
to abate insanitary conditions.
(2) The inspection of houses under the Housing Acts and the Housing (Inspection of District)
Regulations, 1910.
(3) Inspection of Bakehouses, Laundries, Workshops, Factories, Workplaces, and
Outworkers' premises under the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901.
(4) The supervision of all works carried ont in connection with the re-drainage of houses,
repairs to buildings and other work incidental to, or in connection with the remedying
of insanitary conditions.
(5) Inspection of Cowsheds, Milkshops and Dairies.
(6) Inspection of Slaughterhouses, and the examination of carcases of animals used for
human consumption.
(7) Inspection of premises and shops where food is prepared, stored and sold.
(8) The preparation of informal and Statutory Notices incidental to, and arising out of his
inspectorial duties.

under the heading Sanitary Inspection of District.
