The Mechanic Superintendent calls attention to the fact
that it is desirable to consider the purchase of a spare
vehicle as a relief while extensive overhauls take place.
Overhauls are now imminent in respect of all the vehicles
which have been in continuous service for practically four
years at the date of this report. The Mechanic Superintendent
suggests that it would be possible to secure a type
adaptable for relieving one of the cars in the Motor Service
or the First Aid Machine or one of the Fire Engines of the
Fire Brigade provided it were equipped with detachable
brackets for fire escape and chemical extinguisher.
I am, your obedient servant,
GEORGE F. BUCHAN,
Medical Officer.
