From the foregoing it will be noted that the initial
expenditure on alterations, repairs, furniture, and equipment
is lestimated at £474, and the annual expenditure is
estimated at £1,640, or approximately, 1s. 6d. per child for
a duration of 12 hours.
Before considering what charge should be made to
parents in respect of the cost per child it will be necessary
for the Committee to ascertain—
1. If the Local Government Board are prepared to
sanction the establishment and maintenance of a
day and night nursery for the children of munition
workers; and
