It may be pointed out that some time will elapse before
it is likely that hospital beds will be available, and that,
meantime, the other portion of the scheme, involving an
estimated capital outlay of £160, and an estimated annual
charge of £1,314, half of which charges are repayable by
the Board of Education, may be undertaken.
Recommendations.
(1) That the necessary alterations be made at 225, High
Road, Kilburn, for the treatment of Skin Diseases,
in addition to Ringworm, at an estimated cost of
£30.
(2) That a Clinic be established in suitable premises for the
treatment of Diseases of the Throat, Nose and
Ear, Malnutrition and Anaemia, at an estimated
capital cost of £160, and an estimated annual
maintenance of £1,314.
(3) That the following staff be appointed:—
(a) An Assistant Medical Officer, at £400, by
£25 per annum, to £500 per annum.
(b) Four Health Visitors, at the scale salaries of
£108 to £138 per annum.
(c) A third-class clerk, at the scale salary of £80
to £120 per annum.
(d) Dr. Haldin Davis, as Consultant Dermatologist,
at a salary of £126 per annum for forty
attendances of three hours each.
(e) A Consultant on Diseases of the Throat, Nose
and Ear, at a salary of £7126 per annum, for
fortv attendances of three hours each.
