Haldin Davis, who is at present employed only for the treatment
of Ringworm, should be employed as Consulting Dermatologist.
Diseases of the Nose, Throat and Ear.
Similar difficulties in respect of diagnosis and treatment
arise in connection with these diseases, and, in addition,
operative treatment is from time to time necessary. I would
therefore advise that the Committee should employ a consultant
in respect of these diseases, to carry out such operations
as may be necessary, and consult in cases of special
difficulty. A certain number of hospital beds would be
required for operation cases. The Health Committee at the
present time have under consideration the extension of their
hospital accommodation, and I would suggest that the
Council be approached with a view to providing six beds
necessary for operations in respect of diseases of the nose,
throat and ear occurring amongst school children.
Summary of Work and Cost.
