B.—SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE
DISTRICT.
Water Supply—Rivers and Streams—Drainage and
Sewerage—Closet Accommodation.—Particulars under the
above headings are contained in the Health Report for the
year 1913, pages 31-32. No alteration requires to be made
for the year under review.
Scavenging.—The Heajth Department is responsible
for the removal of house refuse within the district. The
work is actually carried out by a contractor, who disposes
of the refuse by tipping or by destructor. The destructor
used belongs to a private firm, as one is not provided by
the Council.
In the following Tables, Nos. 4-8, are given the chief
data relating to House Refuse removal.
