Measles and Whooping Cough.—These diseases are
not compulsorily notifiable, and cases come to the knowledge
of the Health Department usually through Head Teachers.
In this way 1,656 cases of measles and 520 of whooping
cough were notified during 1913.
Beyond the exclusion of children from school, as detailed
in the report of the School Medical Officer, no special action
is taken to deal with these cases.
