of the Customs and Inland Revenue Act, 1890.

In dealing with this subject it should be noted that in
certificates for exemption from Inhabited House Duty under
the above Act the Medical Officer of Health is required to
certify that the house in respect of which such a certificate is
granted "is so constructed as to afford suitable accommodation
for each of the families or persons inhabiting it, and
that due provision is made for their sanitary requirements."
