Miss Lupton and Gentlemen,
I beg to report in accordance with the following:
Minutes of the Education Committee, 3rd December, 1913,
p. 393.
CHILDREN'S CARE COMMITTEE REPORT.
"Medical Treatment—Eyes and Teeth.
14. We have instructed the School Medical Officer to
prepare and submit a report in regard to the above matters."
Eyes.
Amount or Defective Vision.—Vision testing is a prescribed
portion of Medical Inspection, and the following
results obtained since Medical Inspection began :in this district
in 1909 indicates the amount of defective vision
amongst school children which requires attention.

1909-10-11.—8/9, or less, in each eye.
