Extent and Scope of Medical Inspection.—The total
number of children on the roll in the Public Elementary
Schools in Willesden at 31st December, 1913, was 23,830,
and during the year 9,343 were medically inspected.
The medical inspection of school children included
inspection and examination under the following heads:—
Clothing and Footgear.
Height and W eight.
Nutrition.
Skin and Scalp.
Teeth, Nose and Throat, Neck Glands.
Eves, Vision.
Ears, Hearing.
Speech.
Mental Condition.
Heart and Circulation.
Lungs.
Nervous system.
Deformities and other defects.
Infectious Illness History.
