The foregoing Tables, Nos. 83, 84, 85 and 86, would
appear to shew that the saving of life, as illustrated by the
low death rates of 1913 and immediately preceding years
is mainly accomplished under the age of five years while
there is a definite tendency for the death rates to increase in
recent years over the age of 65 years.
