The foregoing Table, No. 80, shews that in the six
years 1875-81, the birth rate in Willesden fell by 10.3 per
1,000 of the population, and that in the thirty-one years,
1881-1913, the birth rate still further fell by 9.7 per 1,000.
The lowest birth rate on record lis recorded during the year
now under review. The figures at our disposal shew that
the birth rate in Willesden, calculated per 1,000 of the
female population of child-bearing age, us likewise steadily
diminishing. It should also be noted that while the birth
rate in Willesden has fallen by 20.0 per 1,000 during the 38
years, 1875-1913, that for England and Wales has fallen
during the 37 years, 1875-1912 by 11.6 per 1,000.
